Use Radiant Photo Mobile to develop your photos before applying LOOKs
Radiant Photo Mobile can quickly develop your Gallery of recent photos without importing, making it great for quickly editing and enhancing phone photos. Here, I captured winter plants around my (Australian) home that needed an additional boost of lushness.
Radiant Photo Mobile works just like its desktop version and begins immediately when you open a photo to edit (don’t forget that batch editing can be achieved by clicking the stacked photo icon within Gallery to select multiple photos at once!). You can quickly and efficiently access photos from multiple galleries using our handy batch edit feature!
Radiant Photo Mobile’s Enhance tab displays which Smart Preset has been detected, and when no obvious subject exists. Auto Radiant works wonders when there’s no immediate subject (People, People — Night, Newborn & Baby, Animals and Food & Drink are among some of the subjects it will automatically identify).
I then adjusted some of my preferred settings in the Develop tab of Radiant Photo Mobile: I often add Super Contrast (Develop > Tone > Super Contrast), and when necessary tweak exposure settings as necessary (Develop > Tone > Exposure). What’s great about Radiant Photo Mobile’s exposure adjustment capabilities is that adjustments apply relative to each photo itself – thanks to Perfectly Clear engine underneath, even with exposure set as high as 100, your photo still looks natural with sensible exposure levels being applied automatically by Radiant Photo Mobile!
Another setting I frequently adjust is Fidelity and Vibrancy (found under Develop > Color), especially with photos featuring plants or flowers.
Radiant Photo Mobile makes adding LOOKs over your edits nondestructive in two ways. First, Radiant Photo itself never edits originals; instead it exports copies with edits applied from Radiant Photo itself. But secondly, LOOKs apply independently to Enhance, Develop and Portrait settings – meaning they can be applied one at a time before returning back in later to edit their settings individually.
Lightroom differs significantly. When applying presets in Lightroom Classic or Lightroom CC, they act like one single set of settings; there’s no obvious separation of how a preset affects basic develop settings versus color grade settings unless built very specifically – making it hard for newcomers to buy and use presets – something shown by Instagram videos!
Radiant Photo is my go-to tool when it comes to color grading: the separation between develop settings and color grading settings makes sense, giving your photo the correct exposure before applying color grading effects. Furthermore, this flexible and powerfully controllable environment is very intuitive for me.

BW and Color Film Stocks — Replicating processing techniques used during film days Light — Perfect for simulating different times of day like Sunset and Moonlight Retro — These imitate photos taken with instant cameras like Polaroid using specific washes and color saturations
Stylist Color — These looks use various color palettes in the photo for various effects, while Color Grades allow more extreme adjustments that desaturate some colors while amplifying others.
Vintage — This set allows users to apply color grading styles popular during various eras from 1960-1995.
Adjusting LOOKs Using Manual Controls
Once you’ve applied a LOOK to your image, tap again to access its manual controls and fine tune its strength, saturation and contrast for a personalized finish.
This will give you greater control of your image and, should any issues arise, the Develop settings can always be adjusted back without altering the effect of any previously applied looks.
